Yes, i will say it again,
Volvo parts for Volvo cars!! The temp. sensor is about £35`ish and will work. It is simply not worth all the hassle the wrong parts can bring. Modern cars are too complicated and the incorrect move is expensive. If you can`t fit the part get the local garage to fit it so long as you have the correct part.

Hey guys!
I couldn't find more appropriate place for my question so...I have a '97 s40 TD (D4192T) and recently replaced the instrument cluster with one from '02 1.9 D. everything works except for the temperature gauge.Apparently the temperature sensor of both cars are different, so my question is - Can you think of a way I can make this Instrument cluster working on that car?I feel comfortable with soldering, so i can try to modify the speedo( i just want to see if I can do that, because I just started a S40 ph1 -> Ph2 project which includes inside and outside + front suspension modifications). Thanks in advance. Paul |
