Question DMF Tolerances

I've picked up what I would say is a bargain on ebay, a second hand clutch that looks hardly used and a a DMF for £50 including postage.

I can't find the tolerances for the DMF, it's a genuine Volvo part (31259330) and I've marked up the distance between the furthest points when I turn the wheel. I turned the wheel fully to the left without forcing it and marked it with a line on both parts, I then turned it to the right without forcing it against the springs (is this making sense?) and marked it up there. Then I measure the distance between the two points and there is only about 1cm of movement.

To me, this looks all ok comparing to some of the videos I've seen of healthy DMF's on Youtube etc.

Does anyone know where I can find the tolerances to absolutely make sure because a Google search isn't yielding much, it all seems a bit 'cloak and dagger'.

Regards

James
