Default O/s rear hub play ???

Hi all,
V70 r design 2011 2.0 D
Noise coming from o/s rear, jacked up checked tyre seems faulty was however when moving rear wheel there is play in the rear hub when moving wheel top to bottom (approx 1/2 mm play), there is no play on n/s/r at all. All of the rear O/s/r hub was replaced due to accident, donor had done 55k came off in one unit and seemed to have no issues at rear as viewed it in on vehicle and Tyre was OK.
Is this replace hub and bearing or just bearing, or ????

The bearing assembly unbolts from the arm with 4 inverse torx bolts you need new bolts too .There should be no noticable play at all .

Thanks Clan, these bolts are I believe 90 nb torque, however is there any other way to check for play other than wagging the wheel at different angles ?

that is the standard way of doing it as on MOT tests , but jacked up of course , NOT with the weight on it ..
