Default Bonnet stuck!?

Hi gang as above my bonnet is stuck shut and i can't open it.
I opened it yesterday to remove and charge the battery, but when it shut it didn't feel right as it clicked into the latch.

The drivers side is suffering from the usual bend/wear and i've got a suspicion thats what has caused it as it now sits almost 1" high on the drivers side by the scuttle (never had this issue before though). Have a new hinge and is on the to do list.

Thing is how do i get it open now? The plastic pull handle inside just pulls but isn't unlocking the catch, help very much appreciated!

There is a 'how to' in the articles section that might help

Thanks for that.

Hopefully it'll get me out of trouble, if i can get underneath it that is as it's wedged in the corner of the drive with its nose almost in a bush!

If the broken hinge is causing it (it usually rusts through at the bottom arm) try having someone push down over the hinge and then pull the release, it could line the bonnet up a bit better.

Default Toolbox.

Are any of your tools missing? There might be something left on the slam panel that's jammed under the bonnet.
I had a 240 do this to me due to a wrongly aligned catch and dodgy cable. I chose to remove the grille so I could get at the catch easily. After much fiddling with various plastic tools and careful prodding with a steel hook I managed to turn the catches that hold the grille at the top. With grille out it was a matter of prising at the catch, particularly the nose of the part attached to the bonnet.
