Default shock absorber recommendations?

I was told at last MPT that my fronts were weeping a bit so by the time it gets to the next MOT (30K + later) they will need replacing. So whats the general consensus for replacements then? I tend to do front and back together so its balanced so an all round solution please.

Also, where to get them? I'm not VOC at the minute

V70 2.5LPT '98 P reg, I do 120 miles a day commute, 80 on Motorway 40 on twisty B roads. I enjoy an 'enthusiastic' drive but I'm looking for enough comfort to keep my broken back from giving me a load of pain. I'm also looking at sticking a Strut brace on to tighten up the front end as I believe these are a very worthwile mod.

a strutt brace @ £80 from a main dealer is a well worthwhile cheap mod although i notice its benefits under wide open throttle rather that cornering...
Shock wise, first of all, check what type of rear dampers you have, standard or nivomats...., nivomats look like this....

they are clearly visably different from the normal dampers because of there "bellows"
if you have these dampers, i would suggest reaplacing just the front ones with maybe some koni reds... http://www.partsforvolvosonline.com/...oducts_id=2698
or maybe some koni yellows if you have the cash....http://www.partsforvolvosonline.com/...oducts_id=2697
and a set of front springs of your choice....
after you have repalced these you will be able to tell if your nivo's definately need replacing...mant people swear by nivo's but they are expensive to replace....
my honest recomendation would be the koni kit.. http://www.partsforvolvosonline.com/...oducts_id=3151, these may be cheaper elsewere i just use pfv as an example as i know there site well...
and chuck the nivos although i know some will not agree....lol...
food for thought
cheers

Cheers for that, its non nivo thanks, what other sites would you use? I've checked demon tweeks but they don't do them for the V70. Google isn't forthcoming with much either
