Given up on my S80 T6, Parts anyone?
I've got a 2000 Volvo S80 T6 (one previous owner) with 92,000 miles on that I've decided to scrap by Friday and I thought that I ask if anyone was interested in any parts from it.
I though that I'd sold it to someone on Ebay but apparently the East Indian woman from London who bought it doesn't seem to understand that she'll actually need to pay me for it. So after P---ing around for nearly a month I've decided to leave a negative strike for her and send it to a wrecker. It was MOT'd till Oct but I've sent the tax disc in. It needed an O2 sensor and third gear would slip under full boost but aside from that worked A+ and was complete. So, if there's anything that anyone is interested in I've got a Deep Green Metallic, S80T6 with Silver Suede interior in the DE4 3AA postcode area with parts that I'll be scrapping by Friday. Let me know if anyone has got a recommendation of a good local scrapper and what I should expect to get for a straight, clean version of a S80 t6 with 3factory keys and 2 working fobs. |

Why not offer to sell it complete on here? You'll get more than scrap price.

I'm putting up with my O2 sensor message, the car runs fine. I may cough up the £80+ for it one sunny day, who knows?
The breakers I tried to use a few times: - one wanted payment to collect it, - one said "if it drives just bring it here and leave it" and - another offered £50 and would collect it. I would expect that you can get £250-£300 as it is just by putting it in Autotrader, or here where people might know how to fix it for themselves. |

I just scrapped my 1999 V70:
£175 for the scrap (£125 / ton) £75 tax back £100 alloys £500 parts sold on ebay (all lights, interior trim, key fobs, 7 seat parts etc) ====== total £850 if you can be bothered to strip it for parts and sell on ebay you'll get a lot of cash back

You're right, but I think most of us don't have the space to break the car, unfortunately. And then some of our neighbours aren't as understanding as we'd like! lol
