Default interesting morning !

So anyway on my way back from the school run and all is fine with the world!

Go to overtake someone and the car hesitates, goes all lumpy and the CEL starts flashing at me!

Oh S**t I think, I must have broken the old bus!

Anyway after 5 mins playing musical coil packs I manage to figure out Cylinder no 3 is not working!

Go to GSF and buy a new one for the poultry sum of £27.90, fitted it and guess what? All is right with the world again!

I was very surprised it was only £27.90 or should that be relieved lol

Anyway what I thought was going to be a wallet crushing problem turned out to be just a faulty coil pack, what a relief!

Just thought I would share that with you!

The CEL flashing is a sign of unburnt fuel getting through the cat most of the time this will be down to either a coil pack or knackered sparkplug, a cheap generic code reader will pinpoint which cylinder is at fault within seconds, in your case code P0303 will be stored - Mike

Good one! I've had a few of them experiences in which I've thought " oh ****, here we go, empty wallet and having to deal with the garage".....and it turns out to be a minor issue!

I plugged a code reader in, it connected fine but would not display any codes and stated the cel was not lit!

B****y useless!

Not sure if it's the software as it did say something about having to use the right hardware for the software!
