Default DICE-VIDA Querry

Getting a bit brave with the Dice/vida setup and decided to see if I could change the heated seat settings. Found the screen I thought I needed to be on, selected the amended temperature, and then pressed programme.
All that happened was an error message -
"an unhandled exception occurred" and told to contact the help desk.
Googled the above phrase and the results made little sense to me.

Queation:- Should I be able to modify seat temperatures, or not. Thus far everything else I have tried ( limited I admit, but appears to do what I want -- remove/reset error codes, re set all the warning lights that occur, read various "live" data streams.

Cheers

sounds like a generic software error that could have probably appeared for any customization setting. Try restarting the Vida services (bottom right corner of your screen in the system tray, right click it and select restart) and try again.

What version of Vida are you running?

Thanks for prompt help lads. However restarting Vida/Computer makes no difference- still get the "error" message in a pop up. However I regularly get Popups which say something like "can't connect to the internet/web page or similar" and I just close them and the programme just continues its way.
Under Diagnostics/Vehicle Comm/Programmed Values, if you just highlight the seatemps line, then select "add to list" you can see in the opposite panel the stored reading.
I have tried to change the seat temps from the normal 38/32 to 36/30 ( just to see what happend) and when I rechecked "add to list" the temperatures had changed. I shut computer down then restarted and rechecked and the values were at my altered values.
Don't understand but seems to possibly work despite error message.
Thought about trying to change daylight running lights to off - to see if error message was same, but chickened out - can live without heated seats but need the headlights.

Cheers

A little silly maybe but have you made sure the heated seats are turned off before applying the changes?

Yep, tried it with seats on and seats off : No difference. Didnt try checking the reading for temps after when switched on, but as I said earlier, despite the error message it would appear to might be working.

Will have another look through tomorrow or Wednesday, and see if there is another (non critical to me ) alteration that can be positively checked to see if the changes are actually made.

Cheers
