Default EGR Valve/Solenoid

For the first time in 10 years and 180,00 miles my old 850 2.5 20V let me down. The Pipe from the EGR valve to the canister had disintegrated due to the EGR valve falling apart which was linked to the failure of the EGR solienoid valve. Seeing a couple of the parts had to come from Sweden and being dealer parts only I thought I was in for a big bill but the total was less than £150 for the lot and delivered in two working days.

Main dealers come in for a lot of critisism (rightly so some times) but all respect to Hapstead of Horsham and particully Judy in the Parts Dept. who were very helpful

Dave

PS Was looking at getting a V70R to replace it but decided to keep it until it dies totally! Ended up getting a Honda Accord Tourer 2.4 CTDI which over the last 9 months I have had it has been faultless, and for a oil burner does it go!!
