brake /clutch mount
On an 1800 and maybe the 122, the master brake and clutch cylinders are mounted on a formed bubble that is spot welded onto the firewall. I have a need for that bubble and the brake/clutch pedals attached (from the inside) and a clutch slave cylinder as well.
I pay shipping. Pete in Canada |

Most were close to the same but some of the later ones had a different setup for a booster. Are you trying to graft into a 122 or 1800?
I'm more than happy to cut one out of a parts car but want to make sure it's what you are looking for. Chris Scappoose Oregon USA |

I'm trying to upgrade the drum brakes on a 1964 PV544 to disc with a split master. The 544 brake master is under the floor and needs to move up to the firewall.
Looking at pictures of 1800 and 122 it looks doable and will save me from having to fabricate a piece. The 122 appears to be closer to the firewall shape. P |

Well attached is the pedal box from a 1800. This has a single circuit master. The 140's and late 1800 (e/es) had the dual circuit master. At the moment, I don't have any cars to cut up other than this 1800.
Let me know if you think this will work for you. I can sawzall it out pretty easy. Chris agent_strangelove@hotmail.com |

I will check my 544 against your photos and get back to you in a day or so. I guess the next logical question is, what will you take for it (plus shipping)?

The complication here is your decision to try and use a split system with all of the problems of changing to hanging pedals and dual circuit piping. The existing PV MC will happily cope with single circuit Amazon discs plus a servo if you need it. Unless, for your own reasons, you MUST have dual circuit brakes, it's easier to stay with the single circuit ones. Back in the day, all owners of PV's and 12 out of the 14 years of Amazon production got along fine with single circuit.

The real complication is getting the brake/clutch master bubble and pedal assy to mount on my firewall. I've already sized and checked whether Eagle Talon rotors and discs will fit. Mounting a split master is a non-issue. Upgrading to hydraulic clutch control is a plus.
Years ago I had brake failure on a single circuit car. There is nothing more scary. I've had brake failure with a dual circuit car too, but that just raises blood pressure; I still had some brakes. This PV544 is going to my grandson and along with a few other upgrades/changes, it needs to make me comfortable. Right now I am assembling all the bits I want to begin the change-ups/restoration. In the Spring, I'll take a run down to Fargo, ND and pick up a rotisserie. Stay tuned for the build pictures. Pete |

Thank you Agent Strangelove for post pics of a 1800 brake bubble mount. It won't work on a 544 without massive butchering, But a search for pics of a 122 bubble assy will work with not too much fuss.
Now I'm looking for the bubble, pedals, masters and clutch slave off a 122. I hope Chris Horn (Agent Strangelove) comes through for me. Thanks Pete |
