Default lowering springs

hi guys, im got an 08 s40 se r-design, but i feel it sits too high on the 18's.

are their any genuine lowering springs for these? my warranty product doesn't cover modified parts but if their are springs that are genuinely volvo etc that lower her some then its all good.

Any one any thoughts?

If you car has the factory fitted sport chassis you can not use the genuine springs

but genuine springs would set you back £235

Hi not sure when your warranty runs out but i have volvo v50 on 18" medusa rims and agree too much arch space i have just put H&R lowering springs 35mm drop they are german tuv approved the ride is superb no crashing subtle sporty feel, car looks amazing and gets the look, be it they are tuv approved you might get warranty buy in??

no warranty would cover a aftermarket part fitted to the car which modifies it from original spec as they will claim it puts extra stress on other parts causing them to fail

Here have a look at this LINKY!

FYI - Volvo Genuine lowering springs are rebranded Eibach springs. I have a set and Eibach are stamped all over them.

If you wanted a set of Volvo ones then obviously a dealer (Rufe - member (Volvo Swansea)) or keep an eye on ebay, I managed to get mine off ebay as a complete set fully boxed for £70 - otherwise your looking at about £150 to £250.

You could opt for a set of Eibach springs and you will find them available from practically every Performance/Motorsport dealer. I would recomment you call and have a chat with either Don at 'Kalmar Union' or Ben at 'Shark Performance' though.
