I was given an old Packrd-Bell laptop running XP Home and half-a gig of ram. I have tweaked the registry to let Vida think it is a professional XP version and also tweaked the Vida install ini file to lower the RAM requirements and Vida now works on it! I'll need to orde some more ram as it is a bit sluggish.

Thats the only problem if you have low ram. My netbook almost stops once I boot Vida up. I have 2012B here and have managed to install it after some head scratching. have not tried it with Dice yet though. Probably be the next stumbling block

Slightly Off topic, but I hope you dont mind.

I have a cracked version of VIDA 2008C that I have just had to re-install.

I used VM ware to run XP-pro on a Win 7 home laptop and all is eventually well although it took almost all night to load.

However its in now, BUT I dont have the password for the login name "pc-info", anyone any ideas?

You've typed it in wrong. Username is "info-pc" and there is no passwprd required.

How do I know? I run the same version with my VCT box on a Dell D620 running WinXP pro natively.

RobbieH,

you're a Gent/Scholar/God amongst men/rocket scientist! delete as appropriate!

Sorted!

It is, for those that might need it in future (and for links for the search function)
"info-pc" Including the dash, on VIDA 2008C.
with no password.
