Well I'm not sure exactly what I've achieved , especially as the voltage was ok this morning. What I do have now is a tool to monitor and compare with the two year coolant on the other car and I was never much of a fan of maintenance by the calendar. And yes the wallet is lighter , Volvo concentrate is €7 a litre in these parts. Puntos are notorious for head gasket failure and poor earths. Had to do ours last year but everything on the cooling system checked out ok. From now on I will be packing the voltmeter.

Just bought 1L Volvo blue coolant part no 9437650 cost 7 Euro ( £ 5.61 ) from a main dealer , dilutes to make 2 litres which is much cheaper than Halfords which comes as a pleasant surprise . Is this the correct part number , I recall Clan mentioning there are two different Volvo part numbers and one is not as good as the other ?

The 2 part numbers are the same coolant , A one litre bottle and a 4 litre bottle .
The two types are: the less good stuff which they fit at the factory and the very good stuff which you buy at the volvo parts department ... It seems the price has gone up recently !
