  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

i just joined the AA last week got roadside and relay for £75 which was through their own site and i thought that was a good price.

Yes they've changed it. The agent specifically told me as part of the key conditions that servicing has to be done as per mfr guidelines by a VAT registered repairer but only from the date the policy starts.

I explained that I always phone Volvo and ask them what the service interval is for each consumable part so that it's maintained to their standards (and with mfr or OEM consumables) and work done by a VAT registered repairer, even if it's not done on a regular book schedule. I was told it didn't matter as long as I wasn't under-maintaining it. I don't know what evidence they would require but I have all receipts and she didn't seem to think not having the service log book would make a difference. The only unclear part is "wear and tear" but she clairifed that it only applies to serviceable parts and if my brake disc suddenly failed with pads intact, that would be covered.

You'd've got £30 cashback on that through Quidco (eventually)!
