From this thread : http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=159425

No 'Tank' isn't getting a face lift . But seeing the 'shiny red' on Johns 'new purchase' made me notice how (once again) 'pink' I'd let Tank 'go'.

'He' was like this all over:

So I am starting to bring back the red Still got the nearside, tailgate and the roof to go.
So far:

I used :
1) Ecauto Shampoo
2) Clean Plus 'Lack Reiniger' (a 'paint restorer' which I guess is a 'cutting agent')
3) Ecauto Power Polish
Then after an hour or so,
4) Colonite 476
5) Linseed Oil on the 'black bits'

looks good Paul. Tell me, where did you get those lens protectors. Never seen that kind before; only seen the wrap around clip over type for 240s?

Regards,

Dave A.

It looks fabulous! Red must be a nightmare to keep from going dull but when it shines it really does shine. Why is the roof so big on 240s, it's way longer than the whole car, somehow!

They are 'Light Guard' by 'Smoothy'. I bought them from Nickovlov on here.

A quick google bought up a link from an honest John paged to signam.co.uk. Their 'light guard page' showed as an error although the rest of the site works fine. Maybe the light guards have been discontinued?

Hi Paul, I've just come back from a holiday in Austria - hence the delayed response!

Tank is looking great! I hadn't noticed the 'pink' to be honest, but it's very obvious in your top photo.

Good work!

John
