  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Installed the new belt, paid more for a better quality belt this time.
Seems that things are good (I think?) it starts harder now than it did.
May have fouled the plugs with the weak spark as the battery was going dead?
Yet to pull and check the plugs. Will test compression at the same time.
The running situation seems better warm and worse cold, how odd?

Did add some new 'premium' fuel that should help.

Plugs should have been one of the first things to check. The condition and colour give a very good indication of the health of the engine. Replace them any way and at least that will be one thing out of the way.

New plugs are cheap - just replace them anyway to eliminate that. I recommend NGK (not Bosch)
