Anyone willing to checkover a 940?

OK...so my mother is driving over to visit at the beginning of Sept... She has purchased a 1996 945se to drive over in and to bring a load of stuff. The car will be staying here and my mother will be flying back. The plan is that it is cheaper, buying a car and driving one one and flying back than her driving here and back.

Anyway...I digress... If there is anyone on here, who knows these cars well close to the MK18 area who would be willing to give it a quick once over? More of a visual check really... Its just on the off chance... i'm sure the car will not have any problems as its previous owner was using it daily...

My mother would be happy to come and pick up and drop off....The car is currently uninsured so would need to be checked over where it currently is. It turns out its an HPT...

sorry i am to far away from your area or i would be glad to advise, but remember unless the timing belt has been changed and you have cast iron prove then all any member can do is give an opinion and even then there's no guarantee a relay or something could go faulty.

could you put a better description of your area and you may well find help.

Good point... My mother and the car are in a place called Dunton...as I mentioned she would be happy to pick up and drop off....But would need to be within 15 miles or so for both parties involved...

I would say Dunton in Buckinghamshire, just south of Milton Keynes and to the West of Aylesbury.

Yep...MK18 3LW is the postcode.... Car is a 96 940SE HPT Auto with 150k on it..
