I need a new half-shaft. Salvo doesn't have one, where else can I try?

Thanks

Beginning to wonder if I'll ever get this car back on the road. Maybe it's time to scrap it...

Surely someone on here should have one. There are a few being broke now.A halshaft complete with bearing should be easy peasey to get.I just scrapped two complete cars with axles. And no I didn't want to I was forced by my boss to get rid of some.I still haven't come to terms with the destruction of so many bits.Didn't have time to strip everything especially axles.Although I got a few easy bits off.
Wish I could help maybe the scrapyard I took them to might still have one.Smiths of Bloxam.01295 720286.OX154HD.Near Banbury.

They don't charge a fortune either.
Regards Brian.

Only just picked up on this. FWIW, my rear bearing failed spectularly a while back. No noise or fore-warning, just all of a sudden a horrid metallic graunching noise as it gave in.I drove home about 2miles at a snails pace. On stripping it down, the bearing rollers just fell out. A bit like yours , only mine were still oily. I went to a scrappy and pulled a 1/2 shaft complete with its bearing. Re-greased it and stuffed it in. Been fine ever since... 2 years ish on.
I still have my old shaft with the remains of the old bearing stored away as a back up.
My 'saga' is on here somewhere, I was lost but the forum got me sorted. Keep going you'll get it sorted

Really sorry to hear that.I was devastated having to get rid of them.I got so worked up I very nearly packed my job in,I have only worked there for twenty seven years!
I worked the few nites I had left stripping what I could mostly in the pouring rain.I even had to buy a horse box trailer to put all my bits in.Even that was a battle but I convinced them it would blend in as they own horses.

So many parts all trashed.
If I had been given longer than four days to get them gone I would have put out a who wants what just come and get it message on here.I would rather have given away the bits than scrap them.
Hope you get it sorted and if you need a hand sometime then give me a pm and I may be able to help. Not to far away from you.Bicester.

Regards Brian.
On another note I'm glad somebody managed to use the axle to hopefully keep another volvo going.I imagined they would just crush them.
