Default Broken Steering Rack?

I just thought I would share my experience with my steering.

I've had my car since January, as soon as I got it the steering felt weird, pulsing on roundabouts and generally not feeling right. The symptoms matched up with people on here getting their steering racks replaced, a pretty big job by all accounts.

As a last hit before saving up I changed the fluid in the system, the old stuff was black and stank, the new stuff was green and lovely, it took about 45 mins for the whole job.

I gave it a good drive today and the steering is ace! Behaves exactly as it should! It took about a litre of fluid to flush through and is something I'd recommend you give a go if your steering misbehaves!
