Default "Spare" aerial wire in V70 boot

On deep cleaning my recently purchased cars boot area I found an aeriel wire unplugged from somewhere but I cannot find anywhere to plug it in . Also my radio reception in rural areas is almost non existant so surely the two problems are linked , Has anyone got any idea what I'm missing ?

yes linked ! the wire is for your diversity aerial in the right hand side of the rear bumper . Someone took the bumper off and pulled the wire out of its plug . Have a look in the boot under the right tail light area where a piece of black bumper backing protrudes , you should find the white aerial plug will fit in there .

Will it connect to the aerial mounted in the passenger rear/boot window? Thats where the aerials are on the V70's - As far as I know only the S/C models have the 2nd one in the bumper?

Yes it probably would if I knew where the damn socket was LOL . I hate taking trim parts out as every make is different in the approach but it seems I will have to

Follow the wires in the boot-side windows downwards to where they join into 1 and disappear - one wide will be plugged in, the other won't ...

Hopefully :P
