Post Which OIL for what car??

Having seen several threads on the forum in general, asking about which oils for which car/engine/gearbox etc. I thought that this Castrol site, which I got through Auto Express, might be useful to everyone.

http://www.castrol.com/castrol/castr...ategoryId=3205

If you follow through the links..car->make-> model-> etc it comes up with a list of lubricants recommended, including one for 240 gearboxes that I had never seen before, a special recommendation for the manual gearbox, NOT TQF, formulated at Volvo's request.

I know its a Castrol site, so is obviously going to be pushing their products, but the types and grades of oil will apply to all makes.

P.S. the link is sometimes very slow to open, depending on how busy it is, but does work eventually
