Default Volvo 480 Turbo S/R 1991

I have made a post on another website I use quite heavily so rather than typing out a whole new one I've copied from there.

Model: Volvo 480 Turbo SR

Year: 1991

Mileage: 146k

Tax: Till end of this month

MOT: December 14th 2011

Location: Milton Keynes

Price: £900.00 may PX for motorbike

Contact details: mardell100@hotmail.com or 07825 166645

Some may have seen the build thread if not read more here:
http://retrorides.proboards.com/inde...d=74298&page=1

I really didn’t want to sell her and don’t ‘have too’ but in reality I’m just not going to use her now. She was parked up about two months ago and has been run up and down around the estate every weekend.

I’ll start with the bad bits:

146k Mileage, it’s only a number and to be fair the work listed below will overcome the high mileage, I have installed new clocks which show 88k but the originals are included. I changed them as the Info Centre display was very dark, could hardly see the fuel gauge.

Some Rust on rear arches, surface and bubbling – probably about an inch area that will require new metal but most should be salvageable.

Drivers side rear light is cracked and in heavy down poor does leak, I overcome this by parking her up the drive which has a slight incline (water doesn’t run up hill) and never had any problems. To Fix either a new light or the usual Tiger seal.
And that’s it.

Good Bits:

Parts fitted in the past 5 months:
New Discs and pads all round
Front Shocks
Fully Refurbed alloys with very good tyres all-round
Vinyl Wrapped Matte black roof
New Exhaust rubbers throughout
MBC running 12psi to match RichMod ECU – I didn’t increase the boost, the MBC gives more of a punch rather than the wastegate creep you get without one.

Parts Fitted in the past 12 months:
Cambelt and all pullies.
Waterpump
HT Leads and plugs
Full exhaust system
Rear Shocks
Front Wishbones
-40mm Apex Springs
New Clutch
Engine Flush all oil/waters
Brake Fluid changed.
List is endless, I used this car daily doing a 70mile commute a day and wanted her in 100% A condition.

I could waffle on all day but I leave some pictures and any questions please ask or call.

loads on the build thread to.

Many Thanks
Dan

Thumbs up

Love what you've done with this car - all the things I can't financially justify!!

Very best of luck with the sale, and to whomever ends up buying it "you lucky bast*rd"!!..

Cheers guys, Its a shame as since owning her I've spent best part of 1.5k easy but know I'll never recoup that.

Someone will get a cracking car.

Those that may not like the window tints and roof wrap this can all be removed with ease.

Drivers root back pastel is roughened and in weighted trailing moneyless does urination, I overcome this by parking her up the route which has a weak slant (element doesn't run up elevation) and never had any problems. To Fix either a new burn or the wonted Somebody shut.
And that's it.

I saw this on retrorides (if thats where i's also advertised), looks lovely.

Had I been 850'less i'd have certainly travelled and had a look.
