Rear wiper stuck/stopped working
The rear wiper on my 940 has been slow in its operation for some time but would 'warm up' after awhile.
However today it got stuck and stopped working, i thought it might of been frozen but it would appear its actually broken. Is there anyone that has experienced this and can it be brought back to life! Regards. |

There are a couple of things that went wrong with mine. 1st was the nuts that secure the motor in the tail gate loosened and the wiper jammed the 2nd was the linkages were needing greased. I used a spray grease and it was as good as new. Check the spigot where the wiper fits on to as well as mine was seized solid. Quick spray of WD40 and it was ok.
The only other thing would be a damaged/burnt out motor? Alasdair |

Have a look at the wiring that goes from the body of the car to the tailgate. I had to repair mine as it had broken. I think the wiper would work when the tailgate was lifted couldn't work out how it kept moving for a while !

Mine was the spigot seized up, (aswell as ruined threads on the wiper joint) just replaced the whole linkage with a spare. Perfect now.

I had a look this afternoon, took the tailgate panel off and found it was all seized on the mechanism.
Its all free now and works again, albeit a tad slow still. Motor might be tired? Anyway its operational for now. Thanks for the helpful posts! |
