Regretably I'm having to get rid of my V40, only owned it for a year but a re-occurring back problem means I need to buy an auto.

Volvo V40 1.9 D S (102 bhp), 5 speed manual, 2002 “52” (Registered 26/09/2002), 2 owners from new, 62,000 miles backed up with full service history (all receipts and old MOT’s are present).

Bright Silver with charcoal cloth interior. MOT June 2012, Tax February 2012.

Recent new front brake flexi pipes (common failing), recent new windscreen, recent tyres all round. It does need new rear pads (which I have but may or may not have time to get fitted).

15” Standard Alloy wheels, Electric Windows front and rear, Electric Heated wing mirrors, air conditioning (works as it should), remote central locking with 2 sets of keys (both working). Space saver spare wheel (never used) plus all the usual jack, wheel brace etc, Volvo cargo net, Volvo standard 7 speaker stereo system. Returns 50+ mpg, nice and comfortable to drive. Cheaper road tax than most, £130 a year.

Its in good shape inside and out, obviously with any 10 year old car there are some scuffs and dints but nothing major at all. Any inspection welcome, I have nothing to hide at all.

All in all a very good, genuine car and I will be sorry to see it go but needs must.

Rear pads are now being done tomorrow :-) Now just needs a good clean and someone to come and look at it!

Mileage ticked over to 63K, in use daily so this will go up. Price reduced to £3,950, hope to get some up to date pictures this weekend.

Wrong time of year to sell I know but have to try.

Mileage is now about 500 miles shy of 68K. Both dipped beam relays have now been changed (common failing apparently). Upgraded LED number plate bulbs also fitted, brings the rear of the car back up to date.

Price is now £3500 ono.

If I'd seen this two days ago and you were closer I would have bitten your hand off. Settled for a 1.8 non gdi petrol instead all the diesels up this way are over priced and very high mileage.
