That AA chap sounds like a right numpty. Didn't do the test right and gave very poor advice in my opinion. As others has said, your battery should last for a few years yet

Happens this time of the year -Every Year! The AA are one of the worst ones for it too.
They don't make anything on the callout to any vehicles but they do make commision on Batteries they sell, if they can push a battery on someone then they will just to line their own coffers - wether you need one genuinely or not! Don't be fooled by because it's the AA or the RAC or even your local garage, those Fast Fit boys are only after a fast buck too mind you. It's always worth fining someone with a battery charger and give it a proper charge before throwing in the towel and all that hard earned on something that was only needing a good charge. Short journeys are the killer and especially in the cold weather. |
