Default re seat belt alert

anyone know how to isolate the rear seat belt alert sounder or adjust its sensitivity, just on more than one occasion, even though 2 or even 1 rear passengers have there belts on the alert for the center seat or vacant seat keeps sounding and is rather annoying. FYI i have the XC60 C3 2011

Regrettably a well known issue

My resolution is to leave the rear seat belts 'plugged in' when there is no one sitting in the seat - stops the alarm going off. The reason it goes off is because someone has undone a belt, probably to move seat - or plugged it into the wrong buckle then plugged into the correct buckle

try fiddling with the headrests. i think if they're raised, and the seat belt's not in use it goes off.

your dealer can alter some settings for the rear seatbelt reminder sounder ...

Default happened last night

Coincidently this happened last night. Passenger got in the rear and fiddled around trying to put seat belt in. After trying the wrong clip (and the pinging sounding), he finally found the correct clip, but the pinging continued. I had to stop the car, turn the ignition off then on, and it cleared the problem. I'll have to mention it next time I take the car in for a service.

according to my experience in my previous V50 the rear passenger seat belt alarm can be put off by pushing the button of the car-computer (left side of the steering wheel) while the alarm is going off. I have never tried this in my xc60 though.
