Satnav
Hi
Picked up our XC60 on Friday just gone... very pleased with it so far. One thing we are struggling to get to grips with is the Satnav. Adding destinations doesnt seem to be an issue, but am I right in thinking that its not as simple as setting the name of the town/street I want to go and the car making that my destination? Unless I am missing something I first have to clear the itinerary? Then add the place we want at that time - or it will just add that town to whatever place(s) I had in the system before and it starts taking me off on some odd point to point?! Cheers for confirmation / help if we are being hopeless |

Morning Abarth/All
Firstly hello to all. I've been lurking on this forum for a while, and took delivery of my XC60 a couple of weeks ago. So far very pleased. Thanks to everyone for all the useful tips I've picked up in advance. In answer to your satnav question. In my fairly new experience, I've found that you have to add the destination to your itinerary. If there is already a destination(s) in your itinerary you will have to clear this first unless you want it included. In general I have found that once you reach a destination previously set in the itinerary it is cleared leaving an empty itinerary for your next destination to be set. |

Correct, if you did not exactly get to your previous itinery, even by only a small amount, it will still be there next time and you will have to clear it. This can happen if you set a postcode with a wide area, or you manually set one from the map screen and miss the road a little.

Agree. This is about the only drawback of an otherwise excellent system. Great if you want a string of destinations eg touring, otherwise unhelpful. Also, when you get to the start navigation menu, select "edit itinerary" rather than "clear itinerary", otherwise the destination you have just put in will disappear as well
