2006 XC90 SE D5 185 bhp
Here is my Volvo XC90 D5 auto for sale. I am a serial Volvo owner for many years. Best seats, safety, premium feel, comfort, reliability, etc, the list is long. Always wanted XC90, never owned it before.
I spotted this car on Volvo forum UK, I was pleased with the condition and service history so I purchased it from respectable forum member in May this year. This car history can be seen on this forum. The former owner did a great job looking after the car. Full Volvo service history, mighty bunch of receipts. Regular maintenance, often preventive. The car looks absolutely stunning. Images: https://tom.kohhantsuk.net/xc90-for-sale/ Features: 2006 XC90, D5 diesel, 185 bhp, Euro 4. 7 seater. Black metallic. Automatic 6-speed gearbox. Climate control, heated front seats, cruise control. Electric memory driver’s seat. Rain sensor. Rear parking sensors. Usual toys. Bluetooth + AUX input. Towing hook used to tow garden trailer by the previous owner. 160K miles. MOT expiry Feb 2021. No MOT advisories since 2013. 3 previous owners. Exterior. Great condition, as can be seen on photos. 1 stone chip on the wind screen, 1 ding on the driver’s door and that’s it. No noticeable scratches or blemishes. Bodywork in top condition. Headlights overall good, although if looked at a very close distance, you can tell the age (see photos). Alloys – can benefit from refurbishment but not bad at all. Good tyres. Don’t know the thread depth, plenty left (see the photos). New exhaust. Original Volvo side steps. Interior: black leather, great condition, no rips or tears. Original Volvo rubber floor mats + spare original set of carpets for summer. Never smoked in. Engine: This is a first diesel car I see that does not produce exhaust smoke, at all. No oil leaks or any leaks at all. Turbo swirl flaps – done. EGR is cleaned. I was told the vacuum engine mount hose is leaking, I checked with the Volvo specialist and I was told not to bother, so I don’t. The engine is in a great condition. Transmission: Auto gearbox was flushed by the previous owner. Smooth and nice operation. Electrics: I had the anti-skid error, the dealer updated the software and new steering angle sensor was installed, so the problem is fixed. One of the parking sensors occasionally goes temperamental in the wet, probably a bad wire. Other then that – no issues at all. New turn indicator stalk. Suspension: no knocks or rattles, drives as it should. Here is a bit of service history from the previous owner who have had the car for 8 years: Engine – cambelt, aux belt, both tensioners and the expensive free wheel alternator pulley at 109k miles in 2016, next due at 217k, top and bottom stabiliser links, all Volvo parts. Gearbox – fluid change by Hutton Brothers Volvo Specialist (2018) purely preventative, no issues. Steering – fluid change, preventative. Suspension – new front control arms in 2016, rear trailing arm bushes in 2019, all Volvo parts, rear wheel bearings renewed. Brakes – 2019 full set of Volvo discs and pads all round, (rears have handbrake adjusters fitted). Tyres – four x new Michelin latitude sport 3 in November 2019, low mileage since. Exhaust – new Klarius rear section late 2019, year guarantee. Battery – new Bosch battery late 2019, original was turning over slow. There are many more things that have been done, happy to elaborate to a potential purchaser. It drives really well, all the electrics work, (even the little heating illumination bulbs have been replaced when they failed), air conditioning is ice cold, (never touched it just works). In general – very clean car, unabused and well looked after. Still under Volvo assist (European breakdown) until November 20, transferable to the new owner. HPI clear. Reason for sale. In short, I have a bad back. I can not find a comfortable driving position. The SUV sitting position does not suit me at all, I can tell now. I took the car to Scotland and I ended up taking strong painkillers right after. Last thing I could imagine is me struggling with long trips driving Volvo. I shall stick to XC70 we still have in the family. Price: £2900. If the car goes for the asking price I will add Thule Aero roof bars. The car is in Milton Keynes, V5 is in my name.
