Hi all the check engine light came on my 2014 D4 118k about a week ago, The error code is as above. P04D900 I popped into my local dealer, To be told Volvo have washed there hands of the issues re Valve and or Cooler.. Is this right or have I just been hit with an £800 bill to have the cooler changed?
Many thanks in advance. Colin. |

Yes that code relates to an EGR cooler with restricted flow ( sooted up) you might get it off and try and clean it out with acetone?? has it had a new cooler before ?

Many thanks I did notice the new one has much larger passages than the original one, I did notice that the lower bank of passages were much worse than the upper set. I'll post some pictures tomorrow. Once again many thanks for the info. Cheers Colin. |
