As it seems that the XC90 rubber bush fix is no longer available. Can anyone recommend another method to cure axle ping?
I've thought about trying to make a similar rubber bush but without having an original I can't gauge the density. It looks like we're stuck with using Loctite or something similar. So, can anyone suggest what type of loctite? how much to use and exactly where it goes? The main dealer I spoke to said that what they do now is to apply the fix and leave it overnight to set fully but he didn't elaborate on what 'the fix' was. |

I've just been told the XC-90 bolts are now not recommended because they cause water retention, leading to the whole thing binding up and being even more expensive to sort. Hence putting in the normal bolts.
Just to clarify on those, the normal bolts should be done to 50Nm right? |

Hi,
I have an xc60 2013 D4 AWD. This clicking noise that happens only once is heard when moving off from standstill or sometimes when changing gear. Is it the driveshaft bolts that are loose? |

Check the drive shafts

They are stretch bolts and only work the first time of tightening and Angle Torque after that they are like elastic and stretch so do not hold the shafts secure enough to prevent back lash in the splines ...
