Does anyone have remote engine start?
Hi, I have had my T6 Inscription for a few weeks and I notice I don't have the remote engine start on the VOC app. It is described in the manual (for certain markets). I don't mean the parking heater option, but the ability to remotely start the engine (really handy as we head into frosty mornings).
Is this a feature not available in the UK or can it be "activated"? If you play with the demo mode of VOC it is available... Thanks! |

One of those markets that it aint available in im afraid.
I was told it was the UK insurers that kicked up a fuss about having an unattended cars engine running, think it may also be illegal and hence why. Unless you have a V60 hybrid which I think does have it, but that maybe is electric charge |

If there is a legality it will be something like not fully in control of the vehicle or some such. I can imagine insurance companies getting nervous though. But if you've got keyless start I suppose you can always go out, start it and lock it. I used to do this occasionally on my BMWs. Or on my '65 Beetle where you could just pull the key out of the ignition
