I tried to lever it with various sized screwdrivers, but failed. So I used the 'nail puller' part of a small hammer as a sort of make shift seal-hook, with some doubled-up corrugated cardboard to protect the metal where the bearing sits. I've tried to take a pic of how I did this as my 'method' maybe of use in the future for others. I really need three hands to 'mock up' for the pic, but hopefully you'll get the idea So next job is to head to the scrappy to source a replacement 1/2 shaft with a decent bearing on it. Maybe tomorrow, depends if the yard is open on a Monday, very many places here take Sunday & Monday off.............. Will update soonest.
