MOT Prep.
My 240 Auto is due for its MOT soon and I crawled underneath it yesterday ( Tues ) morning and noticed I had a leaking rear shock.
Went onto the Internet to look at eBay, GSF and ECP. Ah - ECP - free delivery it says on their web site and my printout, and their slightly higher price ( £22.94 ) than GSF ( £19.95 ) made them worthwhile. Rang their 0870 number to order them - they are not the quickest to take an order over the phone even though I quoted the part No to them from the web. I was on the phone just over 8 minutes in all ( at 0870 rates ). ' Those are free delivery aren't they - it says so on your website ' - Err no I was told - that's only for orders taken on the website - that's what he said. I was due to leave for work within the hour so ordered them anyway and the delivery charge from my invoice was £8.20 + VAT - didn't expect that, but I and you will know in the future. Total cost excluding 0870 was £57.91 for two rear Bilstien shocks. That's not too bad. Hey, but the delivery was very quick, no complaints - they arrived today ( Wed ). But so was delivery from GSF when I bought my in tank pump from them a few weeks ago. Worth keeping in mind. Colin
