Default T4 Head Gasket-help

This is my first post but I have enjoyed reading all the others and this has been a big help at times.
My 2000 S40 T4 ,(120,000 miles),has started to "lose" water and today I found oil deposits in the water resevoir and traces of water around the oil filler cap.
It has served me well for nearly 15,000 miles and would only consider a replacement if I could afford a T5.
I am sure it is the head gasket though I did not notice any signifigant loss in power.
Can anyone offer advice on what other parts should be replaced at the same time when I get the new gasket fitted and what would be the average time to do the job. I know it will not be cheap so any advice on where to buy the parts would be appreciated.
Also does the head normally require skimming?

One other point....my wife is buying a brand new Fiesta and will not consider a C30......Is this reasonable grounds for divorce?
Cheers
Craig
