What is the sound of ETM when the engine cuts out?

Hi, Does anyone know if ETM should give squeaky noise when the engine is off? I made experiment, started the engine then disconnected some sensor which made engine stopped and I heard that there was squeaky noise coming from ETM. I have recently replaced my old ETM with new one from dealer and now suffering. I cannot start the engine when its cold in the morning (I need to try for approx. 30 times until it starts, it starts for a second then cuts out), I don't know if it due to connector of ETM or the ETM itself, it behaves like there was not ETM connected, I have observed that strange noise coming from it. Is it normal or the ETM is damaged? Thanks, Tomasz
