I tackled my fuel injector seals the other day and as usual I took loads of pics for a simple guide that may help others.

I honestly thought it may be more difficult than it was. Only tool required is 10mm socket on an extension, and some silicone lube.

First thing is to clear area around the injectors of dirt and debris etc, as you don't want anything falling into the head. Compressed air is good for this. I also used some blue roll to cover the injector hole when fully removed.. just in case.

Remove injector bolt:

Clean injector with wire brush, this helps slide seal off/on:


Plastic injector cap slides off, may be tight so could need persuading:



Injector seal may stay on injector, or may come off in the cap:




There are two seals on each injector, a thin one for the outside of the plastic cap that seals against the head, and a thicker one for the actual injector that seals tightly inside the cap. These are the four sets I removed, very dry and deformed, some were split:

Clean the whole injector, lubricate with silicone lube, slide new seal on:




Once new seal is fitted, spray with lube and refit into black cap. This needs a good bit of force, until you feel it click home. Make sure you give the interior of the cap a good clean out. Then refit into head. Job done.
