Entering limp mode - DPF error after every ~130 km
Greetings folks!
Potential new volvo-owner here. Been looking at the market recently, thinking about replacing my tired old '01 Ford Galaxy. I've stumbled upon a decent deal - S60 D5, 2006, 6 speed manual, ~350k km on the clock, nice interior set up, all the bells and whistles. Looks real good for the price on pics. Seller describes problem as: "Issues - car goes into limp mode, gives DPF error" When i e-mailed him for some more info i got this reply: "Last time we deleted the DPF error, the car went on fine for ~130km before going limp again" Anyone has ideas here about what could be the reason? From what I've read about these cars so far, it could be a few things from a bad sensor, messed up dpf unit itself, turbo perhaps? Car is roughly 45,000 czk (1550 gbp, 1850 usd, 1832 eur) Which is an average price for used cars, now given everything else about the car, except the dpf error id say its quite fair. Additional info - here was supposedly some more work done on the engine too, i apologise for bad translation, not familiar with the terms "Replaced all valve lifters and INA rockers" "New oil, filters" "Belts, water pump INA" "Resealed injectors" Car has been standing since February Now, I'm quite tempted to go check it out in person too, but it all depends if the limp mode issue is fixable. I'll give out cookies to anyone who'll help! <3 |
