Darrenw New Member Last Online: Mar 21st, 2024 16:38 Join Date: Dec 2021 Location: Carnoustie	Help! D5 non start I have a Volvo XC90 2008 D5. Yesterday I drove the car quite a bit. I noticed a new intermittent noice that would last for about 10 seconds, it almost sounded like a air leak or wind blowing into a plastic bag and when I revved it would get louder and then stop and the car would still run perfect. This morning I tried to turn the car on and nothing. It has a very weak slow crank although the battery is at 12.7v. Starter has also been tested and is perfectly fine. There is a loud squeal coming from aux belt pulleys but they do turn slowly when cranking the engine. Tomorrow I am going to try turn the engine over by hand and hope it turns. I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem and can tell me the best way to approach this and possibly lead me to the problem. Thanks Last edited by Darrenw; Dec 28th, 2021 at 23:31.
