Default BUYING A NEW SHAPE V70 2.4S OR SE

I am planning on trading in my problematic 1999 V40 20SE for a low mileage V70 (NOT TURBO) on either a W,X,Y or 51 plate. I would appreciate any advice on what (or what not to consider). My V40 has been plagued with electrical problems and I am looking for a more reliable car this time around. I want to go for a high spec model but am conscious of the many electrical components that can fail. Are there any common faults on the new style V70 and is there anything I should specifically look out for? Jon H
