XC60 Polstar D5 oil change advice
Hi,
I need to get a "small" service done (oil and oil filter and pollen filter.) Volvo dealer quoting me £350 so given it's now over 5 years old, I'm thinking of getting my local garage to do it for a lot less. Is there any reason a competent, non franchised independent garage would have problems doing an oil & filter change on this car? It doesn't have a dipstick so how do they know they have exactly the right amount of oil in it? (Apparently, you need to drive it 30kms before you can read the level on the dashboard...) Also, would they need special equipment to reset the "engine service due" message on the dashboard? Any advice appreciated. Thanks Pete |
