Hi,
Well after the water pump being replaced last month i thought i would attack another little coolant drip thats been annoying me since ive owned the car. I worked out it was coming from the top of the thermostat housing. I stripped it down today and found a tin gasket which had a very ridged flackey black plastic coating that broke away and which i suspect was once rubber gone bad. The gasket was in bad shape. So much so that iam considering replacing the thermo housing to block gasket as well. Its only 2 torx bolts away although i cannot see the bottom bolt so it would have to be removed by feel. Going to call FRF Volvo on monday and order one or two gaskets. So iam assuming the gasket should have been rubber coated and its not some fancy gasket seal that i need to buy as well ? ![]() ![]() ![]()
