Bleeding clutch...every day's a school day :)
Thought I'd give a share as it's such a sunny day. Have replaced all the brake, clutch lines and flexibles with sparkling new kunifer...and crystal clear fluids. I use a brake bleed line with a handy non-return on the end so the bleeding can be a one man job. However, would the clutch bleed today? No. Tried multiple times and still no joy...even thought has one of the cylinder rubbers turned and causing a blockage. Well, after yet another cup of tea and the fourth Eccles Cake, "they're a must at moments like this...", I thought, is the non-return valve offering too much resistance to bleed?
Yep, this little valve was just too much for the low pressure clutch line...popped on another valve free bleed line and she bled straight through. So there we have it, if you use one of these NRV's they're great for our Amazon brakes, but just too much for the clutch.
