Hi, have been watching this thread for years, infact I think it's the third set of tyres I've been looking for and perusing these pages. Thanks for all the input. Now, I have a set of 4 nearly worn out VRedestein Wintrac 4 Extremes which have lasted pretty well both winter and summer and was considering fitting their replacement called the Extreme S. Now if I become less bothered with winter traction I see the Pirelli Verdes are getting good write ups here, but I was also looking at the Contisport 5 which have good magazine reviews (and are fab on my golf GTI) but like it says 40 or so pages back Contis used to wear quickly. Question is, has anyone run the Extreme S or ContiSport Contact 5 and have any thoughts on noise or wear? Rgds
