One more thing -- it does remarkably well in the snow.

We had a big storm here a few weeks ago (cousins tell me it made BBC!) and 22 inches of snow. once the snow on our road was compressed by a few real SUVs (a neighbor has a land cruiser), this was the first vehicle that went out. In hybrid or pure mode, it was as folks from the South say "a hot mess" squirming about. But on AWD, it was fantastic. Never got stuck, and din't slip much at all; the system does a very good job of dealing with the right-now torque of the electric motor with traction control. Felt very planted indeed.

Only advice I'd have is shut off the parking sensors, which were very upset a bout the snow. The cameras were a big help getting past the snow drifts as well.

Given this, I have zero hesitation driving this from Washington, DC up to Canada for the Christmases we spend there.
