440 1.9TD Power Steering
Whilst my mechanic was having a look my Volvo for a handbrake issue, near side has stopped working.
He noticed that the power steering rack had a weep on it. Car has only done 94k miles over its 21 year lifespan. He got a quote of £170 to replace it but eBay does reconditioned ones for about £80 delivered. The issue is my cars year has either 1x14 and 1x16mm port or 2x16mm ports. My question is is there an easy way to know ie by measuring the nut/pipe size without removing the pipes completely. I need the car as I am not near any public transport and my other car requires some work doing to it before it has a valid MOT. Many thanks. |
