Catching fire!
We had a Jan 2011 XC60 D3 SE (bought from almost new from main dealer). On 31.10.14 it caught fire on our driveway (luckily no-one in it) and fire had to be put out by fire brigade after they managed to smash their way into the car (central locking had stopped working) extensive damage to interior in particular and car was written off by insurers. In opinion of the fire brigade and insurer's engineer fire was caused by an electrical fault in front passenger door perhaps the central locking mechanism. This was after we had found all the windows open that morning when going to use the car and it was raining so the interior had got rain in it; after that during the day the front passenger window started opening of its own accord. Volvo are sending an engineer to inspect the car at the salvage yard next week to see if he can determine the cause - apparently the earliest he can manage. Anyone else had anything similar (perhaps without a fire)?
