I have a 2012 V70 D5 just coming up to 25k miles. I had the 230 BHP / 470 NM Polestar upgrade a few months ago.
No there's clutch slip! Floor it in 6th at 1500 rpm and pulls then slips. Revs increase to about 2000 and then the speed increases to match. Clutch has not been abused, and cannot be worn (25K miles). Never had any clutch problems in 30 years of driving. My old V40 T4 is sill going strong after 17 years and 200K miles. Contamination? I doubt it. I'm just thinking the clutch can't cope. Done a search and somebody from a few years back with the same problem saying clutch problems are common with the upgrade (but a can't find anymore examples), then there's people saying problems are rare. Anybody got any more recent experiences? Right now I'm thinking of having it put back to standard. |
