Very reluctantly I am having to sell my ’89 GLT. I have had this car since August of last year with the plan of doing a turbo swap but I have sadly run out of money. The car is a silver estate with black leather interior.
The previous owner had replaced the rear trailing arms and bushings with brand new parts. Since I have owned it the following work has been done: New front and rear discs in September New engine mounts in December Exhaust back box and link pipe replaced in January I had the rear valance welded in January so its like new. Remote central locking fitted. Black leather interior is in good condition bar a slight rip in drivers seat (hidden with duct tape) The engine and gearbox are faultless. Runs like a dream. (B230E M47 5spd) The car has been lowered but I will be supplying it with the original GLT springs. Last month I had all the brake callipers reconed by BiggRed but the drivers front calliper is in need of further repair still. It was rebuilt with new seals and pistons like the others, but the inlets for the solid brake line on it need helicoiling. Therefore the car will need to be towed away. Also there is no radio fitted to the car but it does come with a RHD Single DIN bezel I made so it is easy to fit any radio you want. I am including a selection of random spares ranging from interior bit to a fuel injection system. Addition new parts are being sold separately on the forum. MOT until July, currently on SORN. This car should sail through the MOT once the brakes are sorted. Unfortunately I haven’t got the time or money to finish this project. I hope someone on here can finish of this project and enjoy this car as much as I have. 550 ONO Car is located in Reading, Berkshire (Photos and other spares listed separately to follow this evening) |
