Help?!! Damsel in distress ... Fuel pump timing issues
Hello folks **waves**
Bit of a damsel in distress post here - I have a 1985 Volkswagen LT50 horse box that runs the 2.4 Turbo Diesel straight six engine, non intercooled model (same as in the volvo 940) .... Now, finding a haynes manual for it has been like pulling teeth, but thanks to a post on here I have worked out it is a Green Volvo Book, and may be able to get one through a Dealers ..... Anyhow, the reason I am here is I need help, can any body tell me or have any diagrams/pics of where the marks on the pulleys, that drive the fuel pump via the toothed belt at the rear of the engine, need to be to time the pump up properly, the engine runs but is very lumpy and belching out a lot of white smoke from unburnt fuel ... Husband knows the right end of a spanner from the wrong 'un, but just doesn`t have the knowledge of this particular engine. Thank you ..... |
