Default XC70 Alarm

Morning each,

My belovid XC70 looks like its been stuck down with the random alarm going off in the middle of the night.

I'm geussing as there is no messages in the DIM that the siren battery has gone west.

Does anyone know if the car would object if I removed the siren and ran the car for a few days without it while I pop the siren open to see if I can obtain a new battery or order new a siren if the circuit board has been damaged by the electrolyte.

Interestingly when I was standing out in the street in my underpants at 2.30 this morning the red led on the dash seemed to be flickering at high speed, might this indicate anything obvious couldn't find anything about it in the owners manual.

Oh, and the hazards were flashing so guessing a duff siren battery would trigger a full alarm and not just sound the siren.

Might look fo a cupboard now to catch up on some sleep.

Many thanks in advance.
